Just confirmed my booking today.

Anyone else going?

(Now I have a mad rush to order cooling system bits from Holland - and fit them / bleed the system in time, also need to source a new rotor arm to see if I can work out why I only have a single-spark at the moment..... argh!)

To be fair, my car was just about the slowest car on track last time. (Alfa 75 TSpark).

It really wouldn't surprise me to be overtaken by an MR2. Even if said MR2 was driven by a girlie.tongue out

RTOC?!

The only one I can come up with for that is 'Renault Twingo Owners Club' - but I'm sure I'm completely wrong with that guess wink

Well, it looks like it might be a wet one.

This should be fun biggrin

Might stop the RTOC dumping the contents of their expansion tanks all over the track, too.....

Wasn't too bad after all was it, fairly dry morning session and a bit of drizzle in the afternoon.
Loads more grip out there than expecting (apart from on those white lines) great place to have a play.

Yeh I had a cracking day, one nice long dry line session that I knew wouldnt last so kept out for a nice 40 odd mins ; but after lunch was indeed rather damp.

Cracking circuit Colerne actually, far more real track feel then any other airfield ive done.

Croftsj- spotted you fixing the car at one point, ( I was opersite you- black/red e30 bimmer) you seemed to be ok later tho?

Some of those Ren 5 turbos even kept going all day! amazing! biggrin I heard one of them decided it was safe to park on track on the main straight to fix his exhaust!! jesus death wish or what!

Was a cerbera with PH stickers on there, going well even in the proper wet, anyone on here?

It was a good day, wasn't it biggrin

I managed to overcook things twice - once in the first session, where I went round a few times before coming to a halt on the black stuff. (Was coming out of the double-apex right hander around 3/4 of the way around).

Second time I put it onto the grass, backwards, on the final left hander before the pit entrance.

The 2nd one got my wrists slapped by Rupert as I pulled in. Oooops.

Was my 2nd day at Colerne and my first wet trackday. I'm back there again at the end of July.

This time, I really must sort out a decent camera mount - I had a helmetcam strapped to the passenger headrest this time, but 50% of the footage is of the back of the passenger's lid....

I had an excellent day, bar 2 little problems (one of them caused a dead starter!)! (grey 5 turbo) I've never done a motor sport events day before and was amazed how freindly everyone was, i had several push starts from various people (if it was you thank you very much!). Even though the track was wet my little motor didn't seem to notice, i drove the wheels off it all day! although I did have a few scary sideways moments on the zebra crossing left hander.
I'll definately booking again later this summer!

Apologies to any PistonHeaders there if I neglected to say hello - I was a bit occupied 'cos a couple of mates turned up for passenger rides.

I'll make more of an effort next time.
