I've hired the "BaT CaT" a few times (Caterham Superlight from BookaTrack) and enjoyed the Caterham so much that I've sold my Elise to spend more time and money on hiring other track day cars. BaT charge about £400 per day for everything (car, helmet, insurance, fuel, all running costs and usually include track hire).

I'd like to try other types of cars, different circuits and find out what other prices are available. Can anyone else recommend any other providers of track day cars?

Have you tried www.easytrack.co.uk

I believe they have access to Noble, Ferrari, Subara and others.

quistii - out of interest have you tried the BaT's Pug 205 GTI?
I'm booked up for it at Elvington in Aug.

Have you driven a bike-engined-car yet? Suprisingly different from the car-engined variety of Caterfields; much higher revving, sequential shift, much lighter etc.

I have one for hire through www.TrackDayCarHire.com but seeing you're in Surrey the geography of it all may not work. However, if you fancied doing any of the Northern circuits [maybe Knockhill with a budget flight?] then let me know.

Seconded. Just been in it - that thing is seriously fast. And the look on Charlotte's face when she gained 20s on a Radical in a lap at the end of the day and passed it - classic .

Thanks for all your responses:

m-five - the easytrack Noble is off the track at the moment. All Nobles require a new dry sump conversion before Noble will honour the warranty when used on track. It's £1500/day.

CraigAlsop - I've tried to submit an enquiry to the Topcats website, but the site is broken. Left a message on their voicemail but haven't heard anything.

F555GTS - I'm going to get in touch with udrive now. Although I was looking for cheap'n'cheerful, some of their exotica sounds good too.

robp - yes, I've tried the BaT PuG too. A great little ripper, but the close ratio gearbox took some getting used to.

WilliamBell - When I lived in Edinburgh, Knockhill was and still is what I consider to be God's Ashphalt. I'll get in touch when I'm up in August.

Thanks everyone!

Err, maybe on a cool down lap, or something to do with the driver? Don't get me wrong, I loved the top cats tuscan, but a little 185bhp Radical has the lap record around Bedford, let alone a fire breathing 252bhp one!
