Given the thread for the Novice track night at Brands on 30th May it seemed a good idea to start one for the evening of the 2nd July.

So I'll be there in a red Elise and Jo , the other half, will be there in a 7. Come over and say hello

I'm booked - first time on track - will be there in a yellow Westfield unless it's really persisting it down, in which case a black Leon Cupra R. Come and say hi!

I'm booked in, along with my brother, his mate and my sister - lol.

Cars are Golf GTI, Clio 182 Cup, Clio 172 and a Peugeot 207 GTI consecutively..

I'm bricking it to say the least..

//edit: Forgot to add it's all our first time on a track day and if the others are a sample of the cars that are going to be there then we'll be at the back.

Hi,

Im a complete track day novice, I have been done a fair amount of research on the internet and I really want to give it a try, is there a website with more information about this event and a form to book?

Thanks

Dave

You can still go and watch for free though and take photos - i know thats not the same as driving round the circuit.

turns out I have a session with a ride-drive instructor on the 2nd anyway, I doubt my TVR would love me any more if I spend most of the day hammering around an airfield then can and spent 3 more hours hammering round a track! smile

I may well stop off on the way home though and watch you lot go by! (will ask the noise-police nicely if they will measure my car for future reference too!)

Dave,

I might come up and watch! Do they allow passengers, would be nice to sit in on a lap if it is allowed.

Damien - I think they do but it will cost him an extra £10 - check the Brands website to confirm if I got it right.

Yep, extra passengers are £10 extra each and can be sorted on the day, spectators are free for Brands Hatch.

I'll have plenty of time to have a look round the cars so no doubt will see you there, I just hope it's dry!

No tickets here but then I didn't actually expect there to be - after having given name, car details etc I assumed my car reg plate was my ticket. AM I wrong?

I'm not sure because I haven't done one before wink, I thought you got tickets or something like that - something to show that you've made the order would be nice. I'll have to ring them but I forgot today so it'll have to be tomorrow - I'll always take the reference number just in case.

I've always booked online and you receive a booking confirmation via email, otherwise as long as you have your booking reference, that should be fine.

the Novice days at Brands are excellent, the staff are really helpful and friendly and really put you at ease if it's your first time.

dont forget your driving licence

have fun and enjoy it, no doubt you'll be back again smile
