.. keep trying, don't give up and end up moving your custom to a less-reputable outfit? nuts

yes keep trying, they were at Combe Monday and straight to Oulton yesterday. Combe was my 1st with ET and the best Combe trackday I've done there in years...we were in 3 groups of 12 not 4 groups (like the other outfit) and even open-pit in the afternoon, no stoppages all day. Cheaper than other organiser I've been going with all these years too! Live and learn.

And their Francesca is very very very pretty...well worth a wait! :-)

If you're insinuating that Bookatrack are less reputable then I think you're rather wide of the mark!

All sorted not, they are a bit slow to respond as usual (why have a telephone number then???) but we got there in the end. Looking forward to Beford June 1st, the forecast is holding steadfast as very wet - excellent!!!! wink

I can't comment of the ability of BaT or ET on running a trackday, simply because I've never been a customer of either.

However, there are some rather unusual personalities in the trackday world, some of which I've had some rather disappointing experiences with, and as such I'd like to avoid giving them any custom. nutsears

Steady folks teacher I think it is fair to say that both companies mentioned on this thread do a good job. Having said that BAT do not charge for an extra driver sharing a car clap

only looking out for ourselves and the industry as a whole. there's a lot of money flying around in the track day market and we don't want another Wheeltorque affair where clients and circuits lose hundreds of thousands due to a less than scrupulous TDO.

More like any chance to give Marcus a ing is too good for you to turn down.

Not exactly professional when you appear on seemingly any thread as soon as there is a chance to stick the boot in, doesn't really show your organisation in a good light.

We all have our vices. If that's the worst thing I do for my company I think i'll be alright.

On both sides of the fence smile

Although to Marcus' credit he doesn't rise to the bait as easily as Jonny.

Agreed that there are too many organisers and customers who use this forum to big-up their favorite TDO and imply that others are doing something wrong.

All the TDOs have their upsides and downsides. You pay your money and take your choice. Get over it!

Jonny
Posting that (my bold) on a thread about Easytrack implies you think

a)they may do the same as Wheeltorque

b)they are "less than scrupulous"

Just to make things clear for all us paying customers, is that what you meant to say?

Hmm..not really up to speed or interested in any "politics".
It's not my first post, but a new membership.
All I was saying was the ET day on Monday at Combe was great because of the friendly (non-commercial??) atmosphere, lack of stoppages and good driving. The bonus was that they ran 1 less group that I know anyone else does = more tracktime per £. What's wrong with that? Why have a dig at me? If you are a commercial TDO then that's hardly the way to get me to spend any money with you!

Incidentally, I was one of the Wheeltorque "victims" at the Nurburgring fiasco. One thing I do remember is that Mr Wheeltorque in the weeks running up to it went around saying similar things that you are here only about Calium and Melindi. They didn't go out of business and I've enjoyed perhaps 30+ days with them since.
