Hi guys,

Have had a quick search on these but have found very little. Has anyone any experaince of heard anything about them, good or bad? Particually keen to know how well they would last on the road.

Camskill have them listed at £60 in the fitment I'm after which seems pretty decent. Not alot more than regular tyres really.

Cheers.

the tread pattern doesnt look especially track derived.

Look crap IMO. Kumho ku15s are also cheap and have a very soft compound.

Try toyo r888s perhaps

I also thought the tread looked quite 'stock'.

R888's don't come in the right size which is a pain. The only others are A048R (£73) and the Dunlop's (£120) which are too much especially when I know they wear very quickly on road so I'd need a second set of wheels!!

I'm sure the Hankook's compared to the above are probably not as good in out right performance terms. But if they can come somewhere in between a road and a track tyre then for me at least, it's job done.

Cheers.

Not sure of this is the same tyre but I have RS2's on my 944 S2. They come with 7mm tread and the tread blocks are big enough to not get shredded on the track i.e. they don't squidge about all over the place. So far very very impressed with the way they ride the road and hence handle. They have a very strong carcass but reasonable soft side walls for a track tyre which may or may not be the right combination for your car. Not sure about outright grip but I can corner way faster then on toyo road tyres. Only gripe I have so far is that they take for ever and a day to scrub in properly, but toyo's seem to have a similar characteristic. To early to say how long they will last. Road driving seems to wear them at a very slow rate but after fitting them I lost the first 2mm of tread after 1 track day and about 300 miles of road driving. This makes me think I will not be getting a lot of track days out of them but we will see.

If I go for anything more grippy after these wear out I will be fitting Avon slicks and just keep a set of wheels with T1-R's on for road driving and the rain.
