Heritage - they're a top notch crew. I can't make this, but can recommend the company for their excellent days. Well run and typically undersubscribed. thumbup

There are still spaces available and the forecast looks good! So if you fancy a last minute trackday, let us know!

We will probably be running open pit lane all day now, as it is a fairly quiet day, so lots of tracktime!

scratchchin I could name two who don't charge!! IMO its a rip off. I spoke to a certain circuit owning company yesterday who said that for multiple drivers they will do a deal on £45.00 for each extra driver!!
Insurance!! winkI don't think so!!

Well... on an open pit lane day we take x number of cars. For example, at Spa I know from experience that there will never be so many cars on track that people will have to queue. However, if people bring an extra driver (and I don't mean someone who'd just like to do a couple of laps) I know that will mean that that car will be out on track a lot more than a car with just one driver. For that reason we charge £150 per extra driver.

On a day where we run 2 groups we charge £50 per extra driver because (in no particular order):-

- if you don't charge you can find you get blokes turning up with 4 or 5 mates sharing a car that don't give a t0ss about anything, rag the @ss off the car, get in the gravel etc etc
- we still have to insure them, give them familiarisation, look after them and most importantly, share our chocolate with them
- if you have to pay for it you are far more careful about who you let drive your car and far less likely to say "Ok, so and so can have a quick go" and then have him toast it
- it's an extra source of income on the day... track costs go up and we haven't put up any prices except Brands for ages so we need to extra driver loot

Snot a rip off if we look after your guests beautifully, get them instructed and briefed well and make sure you're not sharing the tarmac with a group of 5 neddies all sharing a knackered old snotter...

What a great day! Because of the numbers we went to open pit lane after the first session. At the reduced price this was a bargain. Great weather, met some really nice people, and had great fun on track. On top of that there were some beautiful race cars on track, including a DB4 Zagato, and an awesome Camaro. The Ford GT was pretty impressive as well, and sounded fantastic!
The day was friendly and well-organized. If anyone's interested, I've posted a clip of a couple couple of laps on youtube.

I'll post some more interesting clips including some of the other cars when I get a chance to go through all of the footage.

Grinning from ear to ear, the most awesome thing I have been driven around a track in to date !!!

I was speechless when I got back to the pits, and to people that know me, that's a shocker !!

You were right about the camaro in your video it is about 550 bhp and its owned by arthur thurtle, raced by him as well along with boysie thurtle (son of) and roger bennington.

He is one of the nicest gentlemen you will ever meet smile

Check www.heritagegtcc.co.uk to see when we're racing. Come along and say hi. I will be about, probably trying to fix this grrring data logger lol.

Tim
