F40 and Ultima's were extremely quick all day and a joy to watch. driving

LOL - I know! Sorry about that - my Cobra broke down the day before & as I'd paid £100, thought I'd take SOMETHING round! At least I only took it out for about 30 minutes in the whole day - was a complete laugh. I was pretty gutted about the Cobra - I'd only managed about 40 minutes driving when it went bang & broke the front suspension.

I didn't dare take the Smart out for any longer as it was terrifying taking the bottom corner at 80mph & realising that it won't go round a corner & plus I was definitely annoying 99% of the drivers out there!

Had a really good day at Marham yesterday! I did a couple of laps in my mates white sapphire cosworth, 1st time I'd driven a turbo'd rear wheel drive car but I only managed to spin twice ha ha

If anyone has any good pics of white sapphire cosworth, white Mitsi Evo 2, clio cup & a black N reg skyline GTS I'd love to see them - thanks

Ouch Hannah! I just read in the PHEA section about your woes. Sorry to read and see how the car looks. I'm sure you can sort it all and it'll be as good as new.

Good on you for taking the Smart car out. I bet it was a bit of a hoot!

Shame on the car Mr Magpie but as you say would be daft not to drive something round the track, as said made me chuckle hehe

Mr Seadeamon, I have a vid of the white Saf when it pedulum'd in fron of the crowd resulting in the spin and MASSES of smoke when re-joining. Its about 30meg though - eek !

Sorry to see the Cobra on the outfield.
Mine was the little red Frogeye (AKA the moving chicane) circulating 100mph slower than anyone else.
Only jst touched 100mph down the straight but oh what what fun around the twisty bits.
If anyone has any images of my frog please let me know as my camera packed up within five minutes of arriving at the track!
Thanks to all at RAF Marham for a fantastic day. This trackday virgin is now hooked.

Great day out and the smartie was hilarious. I was a bit gutted to split the intake hose into the throttle body so could'nt hold any boost!!Arse!

I was in the supercharged (although it may as well not have been) Holden GTS

You mean that very (read: suprisingly) nippy little red Corsa blatting around on the Sunday???

Yeah that was a bit tasty...........saw you coming up behind me on the back straight and thinking.........that shouldn't be overtaking me that easily??? Proper little sleeper that.........well......nearly

Then I saw the reg and everything made sense laugh

Thats me, had soo much fun bounce . I think next time though I need a few more sets of tyres as a couple of sessions had the F1's totally rinsed at the front.

Was getting 132 down the main straight (low ratio g'box) but seemed to carry good speed through the corners which helped.

Does anyone know what some of the more high powered cars were getting down the main straight as some of those Supra's when past me like i was standing still ?

I was hitting 140-145 at the brake marker most times depending on what the boost felt like doing. I was in the lone silver Saab 9000. Fantastic day, very heavy on tyres though.

Are you intimating that burning 1 litre of oil every 100 miles is unusual?
You have me to thank for the current warm weather.

I was hitting 140 with the odd occasion (once I think) hitting 145, I think with a little more confidence I could have got a bit more as I was braking/slowing early for the right hander, plus I wasn't doing too well exiting the corner onto the main straight! I didn't know how to take that corner really, I think it was the width that I struggled with...

Sunday was excellent :-)

Spoke to some of you as well on here (Red Corsa and the Holden), sadly I didn't my car with me though.

It was nice to be able to chat to other petrol heads about their cars and the like, and found most people really approachable.

Whether I get my car back on the road or not next time, I'll definitely go even if its just as a spectator ;-)

I hit 100mph (once) down the straight and that's with a lusty 67 bhp. Just wait till next year when I have an extra 10 bhp. You'll all be sorry then.
