After having a wheel crack all of its spokes and bounce past me while on track last week i am looking for replacement wheels. Without going into too much detail the current wheels are reputed to be top quality three piece items of German origin. It is possible that they had not been tested for some time due to the fact i bought them on the car some months ago, so i will at least take a little of the blame and move on.
It was obviously not a very nice experience so i am looking to try to never have that situation happen again. From a little research over the weekend it seems all three piece light weight wheels can/have failed in the past, which brings me to my question : do one piece cast lightweight magnisium wheels offer a strength advantage over three piece magnisium /aluminium wheels and does anyone have any direct experience using Dymag wheels with Acb 10's and/or slicks ??
