could somebody please point me in the direction of a decent trackday company i've heard good and bad things about different companies and wondered if there was a clear leader amongst them all. i've thought about going on an evo day but they seem quite expensive and i'm not sure if our car would fit in. thanking you in advance

did about 30 days last year, excluding the owners club ones, I did most with Easytrack, great bunch of regulars, kind of laid back on the organisation making them relaxed days and great fun. Did a few with Bookatrack, similar to Easytrack but a bit more organised and confident. If you are looking for Airfield days use Motorsport Events, excellent days for not much money, if you've not done a trackday before consider the Academy days they do to teach car control.
I've never used RMA or Evo but both are well respected
Loads of pics and videos from the days at www.collinsclan.co.uk/Pages/Trackdays/Trackday.html
At the end of the day it's important that the organisers are good, but as important that the other participants are a good bunch and sensible. The weather plays a part in the smooth running as does the circuit and their staff.
btw I see you have an MR2, there's a fair number of owners use Booktrack including Lauren and Alan Head, always handy to get advice from other owners

A second for EasyTrack. A good balance between fun and professionalism, and numbers are limited. Low muppet count on-track so reasonably safe. You'll be made welcome. I've had better days (with a Slipstream, that sadly isn't running events this year), but ET can be booked with confidence.
I've never actually been with Bookatrack, so I can't comment, but do recommend you pop over to the website and check the forum for Lauren

One other thing if you've never been on a trackday before you should seriously consider an Airfield day first, gives you the chance to find the limits of the car in almost total safety. Do a session to find your way round then take some instruction to set you straight on lines, braking etc, then go on to a track, most are great, Donington, Brands, Goodwood and Combe are favourites for me
