Jimbers,
No, unfortunately not.
However, I believe it uses the same software and hardware as the Driftbox, but just doesn't come with the yaw sensors required to measure drift angles. There is a thread about the Vbox and the DL1, etc on the Lotus on Track forum, but the Driftbox and Preformancebox are also mentioned on it. The title of the thread is 'DL1 vs Vbox vs etc', so you could do a search & it should find it. (I am assuming you are a LoT member as you drive an Exige and are looking at dataloggers...)

Guys,
You really need to decide of exactly what you want from this type of product. Both of the software programs that go with these data loggers are FREELY available from the respective sites and they have sample data (either via download or linked on forums). Having used both I can say that neither are particularly intuitive and, although doing essentially a similar job, do it in different ways.
If you are hoping to use the performance box/driftbox type product (i.e. with a display) on a trackday you will probably need the external GPS antenna as most TDOs and circuits will look dimly on you having one of these stuck in your windscreen, even if you have the display turned off or taped over (when you leave pits).
If you are looking for basic lap/sector timing and comparison, track mapping and basic stats there is a product called VirtualCup (sorry don't have link) that runs on a GPS enabled PDA. It's free and although basic and not as accurate (GPS wise) as the others, does give you those basic facilities.

Many thanks for the input guys....Mike you're right but I'm not racing.....to cheap for that!
I was looking to use the analysis to learn where I'm over driving and improve my consistency a little. Its not so much times per se as lines and speeds if that makes any sense. I'm thinking a bit like "dot to dot"....If i can get each bend right/better overall I'll go faster and have more fun!
Simple...I think?

I use a driftbox and IMHO there as cheap as chips for the amount of clout you get here click this link there's also a forum www.driftbox.com/ I post my stuff up onto google earth which is quite interesting following your driving lines around the circuit
Yep - I've got a Performance Box and I love the thing.
It's really good for comapring two different drivers in the same car. It was only through using this system that I realised I was slowing down way too much for Flugplatz at the Ring which was costing me a lot of time on the run to Schwedenkreuz. I was also slow on Eiskurve. Just analysing that data and realising that I needed to sack up a bit on those two corners shaved about five seconds off my lap time safely and easily.
It's also really good for figuring your car and will give you a lot of respect for the skills (or lack of mechanical sympathy) of professional road testers. Most of the time you'll be doing well if you can get within a second of most published 0-60 times!
The export to Google Earth facility is also very neat.
