New trackday at Cadwell Park

New trackday company with a unique format?

Prova Motorsport is offering PHers a number of circuit-based, evening track days at Cadwell and Snetterton -- with a barbeque at the end.

The next date is Friday 13 April (evening) at Cadwell Park. Track time starts at 1700 and ends at 2000 with a BBQ to follow. Like all Prova's events, this will have a maximum capacity of 55 cars and an open pit lane format.

Prova's Tim Smith said: "Our days are only open to our existing customer base and invited clubs, and we would like to extend that invitation to all PHers."

Price is £85 per car individually or £80 per car for groups of more than three.

About Prova

Prova said it's been running airfield days for three years, using a number of MOD sites in East Anglia and has now decided to branch out.

The company said its first day circuit at Snetterton last month was a great success with not one black flag or stoppage all day. "This is fairly typical of our events now as they are only open to our existing customer base and invited clubs," said Smith.

"By our very rough calculations, taking into account sessions, stoppages and a very busy track, compared to a normal capacity (100+ cars) full day you should still get roughly an equivalent amount of time on track, for about half the price," he said.

Well done Tim!

Snetterton was absolutely fantastic and quite easily the most trouble free trackday I've ever been to (ignoring the flat battery, empty fuel tank and blown CV joint on my car). One slapped wrist from race control and no red flags all day.

I hate this generic term for Westfields and Caterhams!! The one in the pic is a Westfield so why not call it a Westfield!? ARGH! People on this website are supposed to know a lot about cars, so why can't they call cars by their names!?

Hi,

We have provisionally booked Snett for Thursday 10th May evening, and are looking at running alternately between the two for the rest of the season every 4 weeks or so.

Thanks Jimbro, it was a fantastic day if a little weird for us! Watching every body else do all the hard work for a change was very hard for us!!!

Must say i was very impressed with your pit crew on the day as well, although how they managed to visit Kings Lynn AND Norwich on the same journey to Snett is beyond me laugh

Cheers
Tim

Very plesant and profesional team

I wish you all the luck in the world on this new venture

Wouldn't mind some track action this year. What's the noise limit for this event, anyone?

I can vouch for the "no run off area"

It wasn't me that left the track - the car in front spun in the hairpin, hit the armco and bounced back down the track towards barn

Oh come on, I wouldn't mind if they used my Supra in the pic and put in the caption "sushi sledge" or "jap turbo ricer" or whatever.

Well, I've changed it now...

Now that's good value I reckon for a reasonable ammount of session time on an open pit lane format

Hi Spearmint,

The noise limit at Cadwell Park is 105 db(a).
