Swanky Hotel Nr Bedford Autodrome

I am going up to Bedford for a trackday next month and taking the Girlfriend up.

Looking for a posh hotel for the Sat night, with a pool, pampering etc, within say 10miles of the track.

Have looked on line but they are all a bit cheesy!

The Swan is the only one I can think off, offhand. But then, I live near Bedford, so if I need local accommodation, I just go home ...

i live locally to Bedford and the only place i can think of is Flitwick Manor

Flitwick is not a fantastic town but the manor is just outside with amazing grounds and only 30mins away from the track

i have not stayed there but i have eaten there a few times and it is fantastic food, i think porsche do days out their for new porsche car owners..........

Swan is on the main road in the town centre, probably very noisy...to be honest you are probably better off staying away from Bedford town centre

Well, it's down the Embankment, so it's not right on the main road. But I agree about staying away from the town centre. Bedford is a sh*th*le.

It's Woodlands Manor in the village of Clapham - between Bedford and the Autodrome itself, so only a couple of miles from the track. It's also about 150 yards from my house, and although I've obviously never stayed there, I've been there a few times and can recommend it thoroughly.
