Ok i really need to up the braking on the M3 Evo 1996..... I really only want to change the pads from the standard halfords ones on there at the moment. I do love staying out for a few laps but after two the M3 is not on top form......

Im looking at either the Mintex Xtreme range or Pagid?

Any thoughts.....

Pagid Yellow RS-29's work perfectly well. Expensive but make up for it in both performance and endurance. Lots of road noise and dust but thats a small price to pay for no brake fade.

I put Mintex 1144's on my M3, they were excellent on track and worked out a lot cheaper than the RS19's that I ran before. Got them through Steve at track-club.com, they worked out a lot cheaper than Demon Tweeks etc. Not sure if they sell them to non members thought but worth a call.

My advice would be to avoid the Mintex 1144's!! Buying them was the worst advice I ever received .... I had mine smoking after 3 laps of Croft.

They are a fast road pad and not the right sort of compound for the track. Even the 1155's are not good enough. Pads should be the last thing you should be saving money on if you value your life. You'll go through other types of pads twice as quick as the Pagid RS-29's. I managed 2 days at Cadwell, 1 day at Croft and two Ring trips including around 55 laps and between 10k road miles. You won't find many pads that will do all that for less than £200!!!
