Very good. Expect a purchase from me when I can decide.
On e thing I've noticed with trackday photos is that they never seem to be able to capture speed/movement leaving cars looking almost stationary. Is there anything you can do about this?
Edit: Oh and BTW I was the one who gave everyone a good laugh spinning my purple Evo on the main straight when the second rain arrived.

It's all down to the technique of the camera person...some of us are gifted enough to be able to take action shots... here is one of my snaps...

Very good. That's exactly what I wanted. I had forgotten that I went so fast that the air turned black and white and thick. Well captured.
A pleasure.... you were certainly *looking* the fastest out there...
although I can't award you best spin off, of the day....must try harder

The white/red rs won the spin of the day i think!

That guy (cannot remember his name but did have a chat) had only picked up that GT3 RS on the morning of the track and driven it straight to Bedford. First drive and he was loving it but had been told by a GT3 owner his set up was all wrong.
Who was in the White/blue trim GT3RS? Anybody here?

Good question. There are two main reasons why we don't do this:
1) When you slow the shutter speed down to increase motion/blur you reduce the amount of "keepers". Currently about 90-95% of the shots I take I could use to sell. However with a slower shutter speed the amount of keepers can drop to about 50-60%. This is not a problem if there are 3 cars on track but with 30 you start to miss cars. The query then becomes "I attended a trackday but you didn't take my photo, why?"
2) A lot of people think that motion blur is the result of a bad photographer (which is quite the contrary) and then don't buy.
We try to strike a balance between sharpness and motion. For example you will always see blur in the wheels and maybe at the back of the car but the front end/headlights/driver should always be sharp.
For the technically minded we usually shoot at between 160th and 250th of a second on trackdays (depending on the angle of shot). However for a promotional shot (magazine/manufacturer etc) we can drop down to an 80th-125th.
Hope this helps.
