Give Frank a call, really nice place, good atmosphere, great food, nice clean rooms. they are literally 100m from the entrance, and they have a garage on site in case you have any mishaps
I stay there lots!

Bren and Suz are very easy going and will always try and help out if you have any problems. About 20k from the Ring from memory - good trip to get everything up to speed. Misses out on some of the nightlife sometimes though....

We stayed at the Haus Pitlane last time we were at the Ring, clean decently furnished rooms recently decorated. Nice breakfast, its about 3-4 minutes drive to the entrance.

I just stay at the dorint.
I stay there when I go with the missus as it has a pool and steam room and stuff.
Not as expensive as you'd think, with quite a lively bar, very close to the circuit and if you're lucky you get a room overlooking the GP track
Not as much atmosphere as the Ringhaus though..
We've always stayed at the Berghotel Hohe Acht
Only 5 minutes from the 'ring, Frank is a nice English speaking guy and the hotel is really clean.

I third it. Great place, great people, no doubt they would go the extra step to enusre you and your car are looked after. They've got a workshop there and said they would be more than happy to let you use it for anything you need.
BTW - whats the Pistenklaus ??

Pistenklaus is the Restaurant & hotel owned by Sabine Schmit and family. Steak on a hot stone, oh yes!

My favourite is Am Tiergarten which is the rooms bit of the Pistenklaus. Not silly money and the food is yum!
The beer is a story I try to forget... the first line of the bar bill was 27 grosse bier..
