i have had a look on the search facility but not found anything that matches what i want.

i have an m3evo and would like a day where i get to learn how to handle my own car on fast road/track in all conditions (skids/oversteer/hard braking cornering etc) so i can can learn my cars limit and improve my road and track driving skills awareness.

i am not new to performance cars (had a griff etc) and have done a few track days in the past, but am a bit rusty!

i don't just want to do another track day as the setting is a bit unrealistic for what i want, but equally i don't want some numpty sitting beside me telling me to "mirror, signal, manoeuvre!"

ideally it would be just a 1 day course around £150+/-

any recommedations/thoughts would be much appreciated

Don Palmer - one on one on his car control course. Around £350 from memory. Well worth it.

Car Limits at North Weald in Essex, I have heard good reveiws, I've not done the full course with them but done a £30 day and the instructor (Andy......) seemed to know his stuff....

If you get on a 4 person day I think its around £180.

You won't get a cheap hooker for £150!

A day with a proper instructor all to yourself and full use of a venue is going to be about £700-£800 and will be money well spent.

Easily sorted by me if you like.

Just have a look at driverskills.com ..... every permutation of what you want on the same day, and not expensive

Agreed.

Expect to spin a great deal and wear out a set of tyres. Oh, and everything you've been taught about driving is wrong!

Turning in to "the corner" at 65mph steering with one finger on top of the wheel is very spooky at first.

Did the course today with Andy, a good guy who knows his stuff, and knows how to communicate it.

Money well spent :-)

I let him take my 968 out as I was having problems in the wet, he struggled too on his first outing but when he started again he drifted it everywhere, it was quite impressive to be a passenger, didn't realise how bad my rear tyres were in the wet....

We run Performance Driver Training Days at airfield venues across the UK.

Price on your own is £450 for 4 hours one to one coaching but if you can find 3 other people then it will be £180.

We also run these days for car clubs and we have one on the 19th March in west sussex where there are 2 spaces available. £120 includes lunch 9am-5pm 12 cars in total but receive one to one coaching.

Skills taught heel and toe, brake avoid, rotational steering, fast and slow corner approach and exit, slaloms, grip cicles etc.. and the day can be tailored to the individual.

Go to www.benelliottracing.com for more details or contact katie@benelliottracing.com if you can do the 19th March.

Thanks

No noise testing but there are issues with local residents complaining about noise, so we ask that all cars can pass a 100db's noise check else where. So if you have driven around Combe or Goodwood then you will be fine.

Both spaces have now gone for the 19th March but if you would like to arrange another date contact katie@benelliottracing.com

Thanks

Nope I'm too noisy at 105db I might have to invest in some Act trackday cans
