Me & my bro will be going. It's our first time both at Abingdon & on a track, have you got any tips / advice about what to expect ?

yes i will be there, not sure in what, if it is hot and sunny then 450bhp weapon, but if it is a cold wet day then my old caged track day warrior. If the weather is something in between then..... well lets wait and see?

Trying to talk a few chums into going but for them it is a tad early in the year, still hibernating !

taking the Caterham, Fezza is more suited to wafting across continents

I may pop along, but only for a sound test. I'm pretty sure I'll fail, so won't book myself in.

Great day once the weather turned, my brakes are completely shot too - think I've cooked the front pads as they are a nice ash shade. Made a very embarassing sound in the traffic jams on the A34

Nice to do a circuit where top speed wasn't an issue - need to get a LSD fitted now though...

I wish I'd thought of charging the video camera batteries as the sight of you braking in to the chicane with the wing flapping and flames pouring out of both exhausts would have definitely been one you'd have wanted to see

Nice to meet you by the way - even though I didn't realise who you were, sorry.

Good day all in all once I learned to look after my brakes (faded to nothing after my very first lap ). My comedy tyres were frustrating and entertaining in equal measures though.

Regards,

Mark

Guys that was me and my son charlie, Chaz had 100db on tickover in the Skyline so being the good "old" boy I shared my Primera track day car with him.

Great day, loved the rain, 150 bhp against you guys went a long way !

Look forward to the next track day.

A34 !!!!!!!! lets not talk about it

A few pics of the day up at www.collinsclan.co.uk/Pages/Trackdays/abingdon230207/index.html

I had to leave mid afternoon with a strange fault, the car just cut out and won't restart, spent a couple of hours on it this evening but it still won't go, looks like it maybe an ECU fault

I missed the worst of the A34 by coming off at Didcot and dropping down to the next junction, still got caught on the M4, added 1/2 hour to the journey so not too bad i guess

Good to see you got no pics of me never mind . That Jeep made for an interesting few laps - like a moving chicane! Credit where its due though, by the end of the day he was chucking it about a fair bit!

Anyone know who had the green Elise? God he was quick.

The weather really showed up the limits of FWD, but I enjoyed the challenge of trying not to light up the tyres out of every corner... learnt alot.
