Track day tyres.
Discussion
I am thinking of buying some track day tyres, I am unsure what to get,
I hear good reports about Toyo R888s as well as Dunlop's. Kumho and Hankook are
now producing track day tyres which are cheaper, but are they a serious compromise
compared to the more established brands?
Any views or thoughts will be appreciated.

I always say buy the tyres for your intended application.
If you want to go for lap times then go for high grip tyres.
If you are just wanting to mess around on the track... maybe just pefecting your racing lines or drifting round corners etc. then go for some cheapo jobbies.
It also depends on your car setup..... if you have a car that always understeers then try to mix and match varying grip of tryes front and rear to get a neutral balance.
If you have an oversteering car then you can have lots of fun on low grip tyres.
