The 'ring in July anyone?

Want to make my first pilgrimage to the Nurburgring, probably in July and make a short holiday of it in the area at the same time. Anyone else going to be there in July? - I need someone to follow round! Dates depending on public days at the circuit of course.

July has no full open weekends, so you'll find a lot of Brits won't make the effort to go across just for the one day. If you're planning a few days in the area, then it's probably a good time to go because it might be slightly quieter in terms of 'tourists'.

Chances are I'll be there 21/22 June, which is a full weekend.

I was planning to go with friends on 11-13 July. I assumed this meant it was open all weekend, including Friday evening?

If not that's good - I want to go to Goodwood instead!

Dan,

The weekend you mention is open to the public -

Fri 11th 2.15pm - 7.30pm
Sat 12th 5pm - 7.30pm
Sun 13th 8am - 7.30pm
Mon 14th 1pm - 7.30pm

So Sat is effectively a write off. A few hours on Sat and plenty of hours on Sun would offer loads of fun mind you.

Those times are fine - a short taster on Friday and Saturday then a big session on Sunday.

How many laps does each person do in a day? We can spread them out and have a beer or 2 in the evenings.
