I'll be at Cadwell in a few weeks with a mate for the maiden voyage of my new track car. It's nothing special just a 1.6 205 GTi I picked up over Christmas, after I got the bug last year I thought i'd buy something i've not got to rely on through the week to thrash around the track.

Would be great to see some fellow PHers there and maybe if any of you guys know the track I could try and follow you for a bit, or pick your brains for some decent advice while i'm there.

Anyone know what Cadwell is like? the only places i've been to previously are Donington and Castle Combe.

cadwell is awesome - you will love the track.

Lots of twists and climbs and fast parts, heavy braking....a mini nurburgring

Wont be doing that day there as a few bits to sort on the car but doing one on the 28th feb as a shakedown for time attack

Done Cadwell on a bike a few times, once in my old 911 turbo but before the track mods were made to allow use of full circuit. It's a great circuit hard on the brakes and Hall Bends and the Gooseneck are awesome. I don't think I will be there but you will love it.

Have fun - stay on the black stuff!!

Cheers, I kinda booked the track day to give me a kick in the arse to get the car prepped in time, so with a fortnight to go i'm getting a little panicky. I'll be taking it easy, as its the first time on a new track and the first time in this car.

Thanks for the response though, definately given me an idea of what to expect.
