Any pistonheaders off to the trackday at Elvington this saturday with book-a-track?

Me and fellow pistonheader "minimax" are booked in for a few months time but are going down this weekend to have a nose about and get an idea of what to expect (and hopefully get a few passenger rides!)

Anyone on here going down?

What an ideal way of running the car in that would have been

What better way to introduce the car to life at trackdays!
Start as you mean to go on I say!

Yep I'm off to Elvington on saturday, hopefully will figure out the cones. Wot about stuff like rubber/ stones/ car debris being chucked up and mucking up the paintwork ? Is this a real problem or do some nice people clean the 'track' up beforehand

Me and a mate are bringing my Pug309GTi on Saturday ,running it on my special Recipe of Optimax and large doses of Octane booster.
Should have fun for the first 1/2 hour until the engine blows .

Just back from Bruntingthorpe BTW, awesome is all I can say. I WISH I was able to join you on Saturday.
Still treating the car gently as need to cover a bit more distance to run it in fully. But it feels (and is) like a go-kart with downforce and 252bhp. Sneeze and you'll fly off line, but drive smoothly and get it right... wow.

Looks like first track day will be Anglesey on 19th and then Snetterton on 21st!

Thought so oldtimer.
Pug should hold out, although tyre wear always an issue at Elvington.
Should be a fun day
