Sideways practice...

I'm looking for somewhere to spend time sideways- and to really crack slide controls etc. I don't want to do one of bloody skidpan courses with all the ABS object avoidance shite- basically I'm looking to spend a few hours messing around in the wet in my own car with nothing to hit.

Any ideas? (I mean, sensible ones- not deserted carparks where I'll get nicked)

What we used top do years ago was ring up one or two of the skid pan organisers and say 'how much for Saturday morning exclusive, justa pan and a car for two hours/pound notes?' and do it that way. Somebody can normally do witha bit of spare cash when the pan doesn't get used.
Great thing to do.
