I've bought one of these for work. I've also used it to test the noise on my Caterham. It came up a healthy 96dB at 4,500 rpm from 1m. Can I rely on that d'ya reckon?

The test needs to be done @ 0.5 meters away at 45 degrees.

Your Caterham is the saem db as my Track 172. Is it quite loud?

Had my Xantia noise tested at Combe and that was also 96db, so no, it's not loud!
