silverstone 10th Dec Goldtrack
Discussion
hi there,
Gold track is one of the best track day companies for sure. Silverstone national is not very nice, compared to the Grand Prix track.
I do a lot of instruction on the southern track and have raced on the National, International and Grand Prix versions of Silverstone. National is ok, Internations is about the same and the Grand Prix is way above the rest!
You should have fun there though, what car you going in?
You can empoloy me as an instructor if you want to learn how to drive your car and the track properly. There are circuit guides that can be brought at websites like cicuit driver.

Cool. I just got back from the FIA awards in Monaco, so I am not at Silverstone today.

Funny you should mention Tesco deliveries - we reckoned that we could charge extra for the service as the food would be cooked by the time it reached the customer, as the luggage compartment is quite close to the exhaust...
It was a fun little day. Phil was delighted when it started to rain, because on slicks he could get some huge, huge slides.

NUTTER!!!
As a bit of a wuss myself, I found my Caterham's understeery slideyness in the wet a bit too 'woooooah!!!'
Can only imagine what that Tesco Saleen thingy must be like...
Was there in my 997S (left hand drive black). The circuit was not too interesting compared to the Southern part, but on the other hand with my extremely limited experience it perversely made it easier to learn. By the way, Woodcote must get quite a few accidents judging by how close you get to the armco!
Drove with Callum Lockie, excellent, full of zest and insight on the lines. I even did a stint (as a passenger) in his 968CS.
Oh and the Mosler was really the cats amongst the pigeons, it was ridiculous to see it come up behind a poor Caterham, bit like Jaws
