Would you drive it?
Discussion
Just back from day day. I spun off into the gravel pit. (OK, it happens ... and I was under ARDS approved instruction at the time!)
Lots of gravel to clean out from under the car. Drove a few slow laps to "shake out" remaining gravel. Car looked and braked OK, but drove home carefully. When stopped at a garage on the way home, I rinsed off some of the track dust and saw one of the rear brakes steam. All OK for the rest of the way home.
Would you drive the car? Or would you get the garage to check it first, even though you really need to drive it?

Implies the brake may have been binding. Could be because of a stone trapped under the pad? Check the wheel after a few miles, if that is cool check the disc (careful not to burn if it is hot), if that is cool too I'd say the problem has gone, whatever it was. But if things are getting hot I'd look for stones trapped under the pad, a dislodged handbrake cable or some other problem making the brakes stay on.
