Anyone recommend Stunt Driving days? nr W.Yorks
Discussion
Hi there,
Does anyone know of any locations or driving instructors who will show you how to make your car do controled spins, fast hand brake turns and lots of other fun stuff.
I've done a "road craft" driving day with a former police class one driver (which I got to go very fast on normal roads) - and was great fun - and would like to try something a bit different. I live in Leeds, but would travel. NB - I drive a TVR Cerebra 4.5, which makes it even more fun!
Many thanks for any pointers.
Joel

Hi there,
Check out Mark Kendrick at Driving Technique Ltd:
http://homepages.which.net/~kendrick/
Mark's a former racing instructor and the only civilian qualified to teach the police to Class 1 standard.
However, he's also one of the few civilians to have done Special Forces driver training ... and now spends a lot of time teaching bodyguards and the like. If you want to know how to spin your car in all sorts of ways (handbrake turn, Bootlegger reverse, J turn, etc) then he is your man.
He'll do a bespoke day for you if you give him a call. I did a wicked session at Millbrook proving ground, with swift 'roadcraft' training on the way there and back - superb!
Hope this helps.
