Anyone at the ring 11/12/13th Sept...?

I'm going to the Ring on 11/12/13th September in the RS500. Anyone else out there...?

Good few years since I last went so any pointers/ tips / hints appreciated. Yeah, I know. Don't crash.

Is the ADAC euro cover worth having...?

Be prepared for very mixed conditions - last weekend was very wet with periods of sun, every lap the weather and the circuit was different.

Can't comment directly on the ADAC cover but Ben Lovejoy seems to rate it highly.

Silly question but you do know its only open for 2 hours in the evening dont you? Or are you on an organised track day?

Thanks for the replies chaps. All sounds good. I'm only there to drive 8 laps over the three days I am there, so the 5:30 - 7:30 sessions are plenty. Given the condition of the car, I won't be thrapping it either - taking it easy all the way bar a bit of point-and-squirt now and then. Just wondering whether to drive into Switzerland and go see the old man.

I think so. I have it and no RAC/AA cover. Worked a treat when I broke down in Hyde Park a few months ago

Swiss border is about 4-6 hours depending on traffic/roadworks (in case you didn't already know that)

ADAC PLUS = YES

full euro cover for a year for €75 and recover back home to uk and free recovery off the ring !!
