Discussion
I don't have anything against good value per se, but have noticed a correlation between driver sanity/ability and price at trackdays. My first track day at a Castle Coombe event a few years ago cost something like 80 quid for 20 minutes, with 4 abreast into the first corner. Crazy stuff.

I can assure you that this is a genuine last minute bargain not a pile it high and sell it cheap event. Neither is it a "Oops we are short on entries" panic offer. We only clinched the deal yesterday. It has only been promoted by us through our database and the better news media such as Pistonheads. Just because we are offering you a genuine low price bargain does not mean that exactly the same high standards of track etiquette are not expected and enforced. It is the organising team that set the tone of any event. It is exactly the same team that will be running Cadwell the day before and Woodbridge the day after at more sensible prices.

To clarify, I didn't intend to cast aspersions about Javelin (no experience of them myself).
I have used Javelin a fair bit in the past. Colin and his team are first rate. He does not spoil fun but will not stand any messing about or dangerous activity.
Great friendly team who organise good value for money days.

I know what you're saying here, but day/halfday events are decently marshalled and organised, generally don't have too many spectators, and generally attended by the serious or for first-timers who are keen to do it "properly."
Yer hooners and hooligans tend to go for the 20-minute type affairs, and this is exacerbated by the organsiers focusing on the whole huge event rather than the track time, and the casual nature of the punter, plus the showboating urges induced by the large audience.
This is why I have been to JapFest and Trax both twice yet have chosen NOT to pay 20 quid, despite the tempting nature of sighting laps on the cheap. Like you I don't trust the other users of the track on these occasions.
So - I think I'm agreeing that 20-minute events are generally pretty disasterous, but a half-day from Javelin is in a totally different category, and I must say I have half an eye on that Cadwell date...

I like the look of that Cadwell day too, just need a roof...
Did 19 Nov last year though and the sun came out - remarkable!

It was a good day Jim
I've done a few Javelin events at Cadwell and never had a problem, so a big thumbs up to Colin's team from me.
Probably see you in November, thawing out the track again, I'll have 6 cylinders to help this time...

Nick,
that's because EzCack take the piss and only charge SELOC £220 a head or whatever. I pity the poor bastards who paid > £300 for what sounds like a shit day with too many cars out on track.
That said, I know what EzCack pay for BGP and at £220/head from SELOC they would need a *lot* of cars there.
Vote with your feet.

Totally disagree with the price related to driving standards. Just did Brands GP with easytrack at a cost of £329, and it was the most dangerous trackday I have been on so far.
My experience differs. I didn't find it dangerous at all. There was a mix of ability granted, but I was there at the slow end riding passenger with a novice in a Caterham and at the faster end pushing it in the Rad. Not much seemed to go wrong at all for me.
