Just be aware you are liable for anything that happens to your car, whether you caused it or not. If someone T-bones you, or you get caught up in another's spin, it's all your problem... Also, some tracks threaten to charge you for any damage you cause to armco and the like, so if something did go wrong it could be expensive.
However, bad offs are very rare so many people go without cover and generally all is OK.

I think its a right liberty that tracks threaten to charge for damage done to armco etc. They seem to think that even though we've paid to use it they don't have any kind of insurance to cover these things or even cover the cost by including it in the cost of the track day.
I wonder how I would react to a bill for armco if someone forced me off and I did some damage to it. Not in the circuits favour I suspect.
I do have insurance (competition car insurance) anyway, but still.
