Well I could well have found a new addiction!

Took the Clio to the Evoactive intro morning at Brands and loved every minute of it. It seemed (no reference point here...) very well organised and as a track virgin I came out feeling really positive and not intimidated in any way. Those who know such stuff, are On-track / Evoactive pretty typical or better worse etc?

During the day there was only one accident as such, a coming together between an Impreza and a Mitsubishi, not too much damage! And a TVR Chim ended up in the gravel round Paddock! The Cup really shocked me, it went round really well although I was probably really slow! Top morning all round. From a spectator perspective the F355 was fanatastic and the sound of the engine....

Car to car contact is normally very rare, do they run an overtaking by consent rule ?

Yep, it was only overtake on consent, car in front move right, overtake on the left, it was someone not doing that that caused the coming together.

One car went very wide coming onto the straight causing the outside wheels to be on the grass and inside on the track. I think the guy behind assumed he would spin or stop so tried to nip past on the right but the front car got it together and moved back onto the track and the cars hit side on. Damage was not that bad but not nice nonetheless.

I didn't actually see the incident, I was waiting in the pit lane to go out during the next session...

I was there for the afternoon session. We had one off - a red NSX entered the gravel at Padock (right in front of me), and one spin - an Accord (I think).

What was that yellow car in the morning secession - sounded teriffic!

A very modded RX7.... I spoke to the owner who said he had spent 30 grand on mods...! I followed it into one corner and I could feel the vibrations of the exhaust through my wheel.

Mad car!
