New hoonings on offer

Driving Adventures plans short burst drives

none
Driving Adventures has some new hooning events planned. Instead of long haul driving holidays, the company's emphasis is on short sharp bursts of adrenaline for driving enthusiasts, so most of the offerings are either one-dayers or long weekends.

It's got three new offerings:

Rockingham Rush Club

This is a free meet at Rockingham Raceway on Sunday 20 August. The inaugural meet is strictly limited to 100 cars and the only requirement to attend is to let the company know that you'll be there by booking your place via our Web site - security at Rockingham will only let in those people named on the attendance list.

New York Supercar Six Pack

The company flies you from London to New York on Saturday morning - you spend Sunday in Manhattan at your own leisure. You're taken into the mountains of northern New York state on Monday to drive six supercars back-to-back for 30 minutes each. Cars include Lamborghini Gallardo, Ford GT, Ferrari 360 Modena and the Porsche 911 Turbo. You're taken back to your hotel and put on a flight Tuesday morning to be back in the UK later that day.

Riviera Red Eye

"Red Eye" means night drive and this one involves a Friday evening meet up and drive to the French Riviera through the night to arrive at a luxury hotel in Cannes by Saturday lunch time. You'll be collected from your hotel early Saturday evening and taken by privately chartered helicopter 30 miles along the Riviera coastline into Monaco. There you can spend the evening living it up before embarking on the Sunday drive home via some stunning roads.

The New York one sounds good although I bet they are pricey.

Is jet-lag, high performance cars and left hand drive the right combination?

Depends what you are trying to acheive.
