Hi
Can anyone recommend accommodation near 'THE RING', around the Nurburg area? I know there are websites that you can visit with lists of places to stay, But I just wondered if anyone goes anywhere specific, that's near the track and may even have some night life / atmosphere in the evening. A place that you like to stay at. I've never been before and me and a mate are going at the end of September.

Hope you can help

Im going in september and staying in a very reasonably priced hotel in spessart, this is a 12km drive to the ring, but it gives a chance to check that all is well with the car,and the accomodation is very reasonably priced, as you are not as close to the ring.

Cheers for the info alicrozier.

Anyone else got any good places to stay?, websites prefered please as it's easier to e-mail them for availability and see what the place offers.

We stopped at the "Zurburg" in Nurburg itself, really close to the 'Ring carpark. Cheap, clean, large carpark, and dead easy to find.

I've stayed in both the Blaue Ecke and the Zum Wilden Schwein in Adenau. I'd certainly recommend either as they are both are reasonably priced and friendly with decent rooms. There's usually a bit of life in the Brauhaus over the road and you can also sample the biggest pizzas in the world at Pinocchios...
