Track day for Cobra fans
Demo runs in top replica maker's motors
Anyone in the market for a top flight Cobra replica should find this Saturday's track day at Bruntingthorpe of interest.
It's being hosted by Gardner Douglas Sports Cars, whose cars were described by ex-British GT Champion Mike Jordan described as the best handling on the market. So impressed was he with the car he encouraged Gardner Douglas to race it. So it did, resulting in numerous race wins plus three outright championship victories in the Retro Sports GT Challenge, racing against the likes of GT40 and D-Type replicas.
The event will provide the opportunity both to see a number of Gardner Douglas’ Cobra and Lola T70 replicas gathered in one place and talk to their owners, and for passenger rides around the track. Visitors are welcome free to attend and view. You will be able to chat to owners in the paddock, exchange ideas and advice about building and owning a GD.
Demonstration rides are by prior booking and will cost £20.
When: Saturday 24 June
Where: Bruntingthorpe
