Has anyone done one of Gold Tracks open pit lane evening sessions at Silverstone? Thinking of booking up for the July one, but at £135 for a 2 1/2 hour session I want to be sure.

Went up with a mate a couple of months ago, I was spectating.

Looks great value, he went through two tanks of fuel and only stopped the once.

Done a few of these Gold Track evening events. Usually good & not too crowded. Watch out for the 98db limit. Noise testing in pitlane for the first hour or so. A cheap way to experience a current F1 circuit.
Will be there in my..... Griff (if it stays dry)

Went today, had an absolute hoot. Lots of interesting (potentially fast)cars around: To be honest was a little intimidated. 2 laps later into the groove & a few hours of fun. The griff went well.
Will try & make it next Thurs.

Howard

ps noise testing was 'drive by' near the fosters bridge just past woodcote. i think i got away with it cos they like the sound of the V8 on full chat.

I was also there yesterday, but for the daytime session. I've been on several Goldtrack days and thoroughly recommend them. Open pit lane on the GP circuit means you could drive for the full 2 1/2 hours if you wanted to. And that's PLENTY of track time!!! At £135 I reckon it's good value - so I would say DO IT

excellent value for monay and best organiser IMHO.
watch the evening sessions have noise regs though - otherwise i'd block book every one.

evening events are brilliant just long enough for you to get a taste for it but not too long so as you melt a set of tyres and brakes on your road car. open pitlane and goldtrack often means your out with some classy machinary but as always on gold track events the track etiqute is brilliant just use your mirrors and move over on the straights.

I'm booked in with a load of mates on the 19th july

I did a Gold Track evening session at Silverstone yesterday. Good value for the full GP circuit, and the open-pit format means you can still get plenty of track-time (if your car can take it).
