I know that days here are like hens teeth, but anyone know of any trackdays available this year at Thruxton? I have had a look on a few of the usual sites, but nothing as yet....

Cheers, Dave

There is one coming up in August (4th?) at Thruxton...but its a novice day. This is through EVO Trackday/Heritage.

If you have the latest EVO magazine the details are in there.

is thruxton too fast (ie potentially dangeous) for some of the track day brigade?

demands respect.

Good point, it's a nice circuit but go off anywhere out the back and it could hurt. Not the best place to be flat out in a road car, too much scope for a huge accident.

I don't think safety is the problem.
I have been told Thruxton suffers from local council noise restrictions and is also only aloud a certain number of meetings per year.

You're right, they cut short our race there last year (6.00pm I think) and we had to push all the cars from the pit lane back to the paddock. They then told us that we had to push them all onto the trailers and transporters.

Its only dangerous if you push over you/the cars limit...but theres pleanty of room for an 'off' if it does go pear shaped.

Had a great blat round in a Lambo Murcilargo and 996 Turbo...but the complex is more fun in something smaller and lighter!

The Aug 4th event is a novice day with coaching available which is really recommended to get the most out of the track and to teach you the best lines. My first go round was well out of shape!
