Have any cerbera owners experienced driving their cars on the Nürburgring?

Well please leave through it, before I tell you how often modified Imprezas are sucked up & spat out by TVR's on our Euroupean tracks.....

I'd believe that, especially given the likely difference in driving ability of average Impreza owner vs driving ability of average TVR owner. and no doubt your TVR would soundly thrash my standard 155bhp Legacy wagon on most roads as well

Maybe not on twisty gravel though.....

no famous Subaru reliability problems either but hey, if TVRs didnt break down it wouldn't be fun mocking them and getting reactions from their owners, would it?

ps I like them really, (especially the T350, yours looks beautiful btw) but you can't even get them down here (NZ) unless they're privately imported and over 20 years old

I went to the Ring in a convoy of 6 TVRs, a VX220 and a Porsche and only the Porsche had a problem the whole weekend. There were no Cerberas but Chimaeras, Tuscans, T350s and a Wedge had no problems lapping the Ring 8 times each and all the owners had a great time doing it.

I once drove a Triumph Stag from Southampton to Portsmouth and its cylinder head didn't warp once.

Took mine when I had one. Over the course of 9 days drove it two days at Spa two days at the ring and took in a track day at Snetterton on the way home.

GravelBen - you set the bait, I couldn't resist! Who would subject a TVR to GRAVEL anyway?!

(We've also had an excellent Impreza wagon turbo for 9yrs, so mutual respect, actually)

Spartacus - I never took my Cerbie to the 'ring, but was brilliant fun in my T350; IMO enjoyable in virtually any car

it'd be a good laugh though wouldn't it?

I have actually seen even less well-suited cars being rallied - like a 7 litre V8, 540bhp 2 ton 70's Holden Monaro in a classic rally. was surprised it even fitted down some of the roads!

TR7 V8's are always a favourite in classic rallies too.

anyway, back on topic: Have fun at the 'Ring, one day I'll make the pilgrimage over from this side of the world and try it out myself.

Thanks for the pictures.

Unfortunatley they are causing problems at home.

Well they will be when I tell her how hypo I am about getting back over there when I look at them.
