Just booked the last place for Abingdon with Motorsport Events. I've heard it's a good airfield layout, but haven't done it before. Anyone from here going? Any incar videos to give me an idea?

I went there a couple of months ago. Good airfield layout where you can drop down onto the runway Top Gear style and get everything beautifully sidewise (or wildly out of control if the entry speeds a little high- ahem)
What are you taking? There were loads of caterham, and a couple of Atoms, and a very nicely fettled 3 series estate. They seemed quite relaxed ref the format of the day. We were meant to be sessioned bu that was never going to work.
All in all a good day, and taught me that airfields days are very different to pure track day.

Yup - I'll be there, blue clio cup. I do remember following the 328 touring last time out, sideways is best (particulalry with a tow bar!!). Abingdon is a great airfield circuit - look forward to seeing you.

Hi there.
You were at the LoT day at Silverstone in February. Very nice car and very fast! I'll have to keep an eye on my mirrors.

A little snip of us at abingdon - not a great video but you get the idea. You have to be patient with the down load (it will download the whole thing before it will run) and have Apple Quicktime to view it - hope this is useful. http://web.mac.com/gowers/iWeb/Site/M

The track is good - not a bad surface, two good 3rd gear corners and one excellent chicane, other than that it is pretty quick 100 on the straight for me (clio 172) and two excellent braking zones - one slightly off camber and the other downhill into a left hander.

Motor sport events run a good day - very strict on the rules but, from my perspective that allows you to enjoy it more.

A few pics of the event at keevil last monday - inluding fellow pher DERN.

I chickened out and took my audi - looked like it was going to be rather wet. Big thanks to the guy who gave me a jubilee clip when my exhaust mount went.
