Nurburgring 24hr slightly off topic

I've been several times. It's an amazing race and great experience, like Le Mans at a bigger track with no Brit louts.......
They have nearly 1/4 million people attend to watch so it's absolutely rammed everywhere. 240 cars in the race from Minis to 750bhp 911TTs.
Best bits include:
Walking the grid before the race starts, open to everyone.
Watching the three waves of rolling starts with 80 cars each from the Stands.
Go into the pits on the Friday practice and you can walk along the pits for free amongst the cars coming in and out and mechanics.
Go to Adenau at midnight and walk up the hill from the bridge and watch the cars descending down the hill to Breidscheid with glowing discs and lasers coming out of the cars, whilst the Germans have campfires and disco music blaring from their tents.
As for accomodation, you doubt you'll get anywhere nearby now, so try the villages/towns a bit further out if you fancy a drive there/back, or look on the website for camping details.
