Hi All,

I'll be at the 'ring this weekend. Anyone else going?

I'm getting the ferry Saturday morning, so should be there mid afternoon. Track's open Sat evening, all day sunday and all day monday. Got an 8pm crossing back on Monday evening.

Who else is going? It's not looking too busy - there seems to still be accomodation left.

Will.

I'll be there in a supercharged MX5, along with Pierscoe and gareth in their MX5s.

I'm travelling over on speedferries on Fri night, booked into Calais Campanile. We're meeting up at the Aire de Steenwercke, just afer J10 on the A25 at 1030 Sat morn. Have a route planned that'll avoid Brussels, then off the autoroute at Francorchamps for a cross country run to the 'Ring.

Saw a couple of MX's buzzing around, and one in the barrier, not one of yours I hope?

Good god, no. Mine was the black one. We had a Mk 1, 2 and 3 there, had a drive of the Mk 3, was v. impressed.

Saw you, you came zipping passed me . Saw you parked up for a biker who came off, what happened there?

I was pleased with my car, first time there with the supercharger on. Got down to 9' 40's, without a clear lap, and I'm only about 8/10ths there with track knowledge. Deffo think the car could do 9' 30, even with its original 70k miles suspension. That'll be my next expense, and then we'll be back in August, hopefully.

I remember wondering why a certain MX5 pulled away from me on the straight out of the barrier

The biker took a spill on T13 and I was one of the first there. Quite a dangerous place and no-one was slowing cars down. Thought I had better do something useful for a change....

Gary Thanks for the great company over the weekend, even with the weather it was still good fun,
we never managed to any laps together but next time we will. I got used to the car round there but still more to learn to get it just right. the carousel destroys the car so even considered going round the top to save the car. I guess I will need to sort the car to take this punishment.I will look out for your postings and let you know if we are gonna be there the same time again.
Cheers Mate

Cheers Gary. I think the bike that crashed was a friend of mine. Was it a red ducati 748? Rider in white leathers? Bike totalled? Cold front tyre....

I think it's easier to say he was an Indian/Asian chap.

I did find it funny that when they loaded the broken bike into the back of the van, someone syphoned the petrol off
