Action day at Combe on Saturday

My lord do they still run these, the driving standards & accident rates used to be shocking.
I went last year and it absolutely chucked it down. The driving was shockingly bad. Unfortunately it seems to attract chavs who wouldnt normally pay to do a trackday but will happily stump up £30 for a session to try and impress their mates and girlfriend.
Saw quite a few crashes last year including one Astra which rolled quite a few times
Not going this year. Doing a trackday at Llandow instead.
Right, the driving isn't that bad, normally much better than on the road, and you get chucked out of the ciruit if we see you driving badly.
We get worse acidents on the private track days than the action days.
I can never remember a Astra rolling several times, the last big one was 2004 and that was due to cam belt failure, oil on tires and wheels simultaniously locking up.
The standards of cars are really high these days, yeah, you get the odd nova, but if the car if dangerous it will not get let on track, very rarely do we get cars over 10 years old on track, and even then they are something special.
Combe, In my oppinion runs the best organised action days, with a good level of Marshalling, unlike some event where you get a handfull if your lucky.
