trackdays and insurance - not the usual quesion.
Discussion
I've just phoned the AA for a insurance quote and they quesioned why i had a roll cage. I told them i do trackdays and they said that doing trackdays would invalidate my insurance on the road. As they don't want people crashing on the track and claiming it happened on the road.
Thought I better let people know this as its not something i'd ever consider. I've always just accepted that i'm not insured on the track.

They are talking out of there arse - get them to quote the relevant section of the contract/terms or tell them to shut the fück up.
I would tend to agree...but unless they're miles cheaper go elsewhere, as even if they confirm that's a load of BS, you could still get grief in the event of a claim, esp. if to/from a trackday!

There's your problem, then. AA Insurance are a bunch of useless, incompetent, sexist tosspots who wouldn't know an insurance policy if it were engraved on a paving slab and they were smacked over the head with it. I long since stopped calling them since (i) they were always the most expensive, by a very long way (usually twice the next cheapest) (ii) they got pissy when I refused to tell them when my household insurance expired (who's the customer, bozo?) & (iii) I find their advertising offensive.
