6 point harness fitting help needed please
Discussion
Just replacing my old 4 point harnesses with a pair of nice shiney (free) 6-pointers.
2 points behind the seat
2 points, one either side of the seat
2 straps through the hole in the buckey seat. Do these come from one eyelet under the hole or from 2 eyelets one either side under the hole?
Any pics would be appreciated
cheers

Make sure you put some good thick washers, or plates behind the eye bolts, as salami would offer more resistance to tearing than the bodyshell of France's finest! Get a seperate eyebolt mounted below where the anti-submarine (crotch) straps come into the seat. This way, you are spreading the load over a greater area. The bolt will also correctly be in tension under load, rather than in shear (as per loads of badly fitted harnesses - rear parcel shelf vertical eye bolts is a classic example).
When are you next over in the Adenau region then?
