I'd better hurry up and then decide too then!
Just going to have to rummage down the back of the sofa for some money!

Oh go on, that must be worth something?
I would dearly love to be there on Thurs but I've just bought a new flat and things are that tight that I've actually started to squeak when I walk!
In that case you'll be saving up for the £1 just to get through the tunnel to get there.
Better wait til next season.

hi all,
i'm booked on the goldtrack day at brands on thursday next week (in the seven) . done days at brunters and bedford before but it's my first time on a 'real' track (with barriers to hit!) - any brands experts out there got some tips for a first timer? i've got tuition booked but would be nice to get any other advice available.
thanks in advance

Brands is an absolutely superb circuit and is a great introduction to real circuit driving as it's a relatively short track so doesn't take much remembering.
This means that you can spend more time refining your lines and perfecting your technique rather than worrying about which way the circuit goes! Despite only being a short track it does have a nice combination of both fast and slow(er) corners that really test your faith in the Caterham's grip levels.
I've done a few days at Brands Indy in a few of my different Superlights and loved every single minute of it, the only warning I would give is that you take care at Paddock. When the track drops away it does so pretty dramatically and the car goes quite light until you hit the compression at the bottom where the suspension really gets given a full workout (as does your stomach)! Oh and Paddock has a blind apex as well!
This picture doesn't do the steepness justice but gives you an idea! Believe me it is a lot steeper when you are sitting at the top! Weeeeeee...............

I think you've booked a session with Calum haven't you? What we'll do is get James to familiarise you in your first session. The do some driving by yourself so that when you do your session with calum you'll have got the way the circuit goes stuck in your head a bit. You'll get more out of your tuition then.
