I'm going down on the Wednesday morning(hoping to do some public laps in the p.m.) with a couple of friends 9993RS and 964RS. Just going for the crack and some beer, leaving the GT3 back in England tho.
Have alraedy emailed Andy, and blagged a couple of pax laps. Would be very grateful if you were able to offer the same favour??
See you down there.

Steve,
Ive done about 12 laps of the ring ( 4 in the wet )
Im still learning - Andy has taken me round and was very quick ,so was Ralph in the LHD GT3 RS ( Manthay tuned ) no helmet and just a seatbelt - I thought I would never see my daughter again
Im only going to take it easy , I want to learn the ring -it has always scared me and Im trying to build up to 50 + laps before I peddle it ,Initially remembering the corners/turning in points and the wretched bumps , you wont get mant thrills going round with me
come over and say hello -
we are staying in the tiergarden

Will definitely come over and say hello. However, slow you are doesn't worry me. I know the perils of the Ring and just enjoy going around it. That way I'll be better prepared for next time. I did the RMA trip last year and went a couple of years before that dor 4 days. I've been around with Ron Simmons from the 75 experience in my old 968CS. Boy was that a ride to remember. If you've got a spare seat then I would love to come out for a couple of laps just to see what the RS feels like over the standard GT3. Beats standing around in the cold.
We are all staying in Nurburg village in a little privately run establishment, walking distance of pubs etc.. I recall the Tiergarten is the 5star job next to the GP circuit isn't it - or am I getting mixed up.
Have a safe trip down there.

No, and yes.
The Dorint is the one next to the GP, the Am Tiergarten is the one down in the village (along with most of the other hotels, guesthouses, etc).
Sorry - that is where we are staying , in Sabines sisters hotel , have been there twice before
last time Horst ( Sport auto test driver ) sat beside us and I asked him have you been round the ring much ?
" Yes he replied just over an hour ago in a Pagini Zonda 7min 32 !
Oh I replied and decided to get pi**ed !
