Goodwood - looking for tuition
Discussion
Hey everyone, looking for some advice if you can help please. Recently I was lucky enough to go on a BMW driving day at Goodwood, which was great using their cars rather than my own! Since then I’ve booked onto a track day in my car at Goodwood. I’m looking to hire a pro to help me for the morning and sit along side me coaching me and making sure I don’t do anything daft!
The guys on site at the BMW day were great but we only did 2 laps in each car so not really enough time to learn lines etc. I'm hoping to find a tutor/teacher/driver whatever it's called to spend a half a day with me there, someone familiar with the track obviously. I know all the people at Goodwood for the BMW day were self-employed but I've no idea how to find.

I've done a number of trackdays at Goodwood over the past couple of years and I've used 3 of their instructors at different times. They are all excellent and probably the most cost effective 'upgrade' you can make to your car!
I think they still offer 'express tuition' which is an hour and costs £100.
Best bet is to call the circuit and ask what is currently available.

+1 if you are looking for an Instructor for an hour/ half-day then Goodwood Ticket Office would be the first place to go. I've used instructors through them and mostly had a good experience.
I'd recommend getting a coach if you are thinking this may be a skill you want to build. As you build a different relationship where they know your goals (dreams) and your current skill level. You can find a long list of this through ARDS https://www.ards.co.uk/instructors/ or through driving schools.

I tried Goodwood first of all, however a friend set the day up and booked via Evo Trackdays. So it's not possible to book the tuition directly with Goodwood, I even called them and checked. You can only book with Goodwood when booking a Goodwood day.
Only options were A - get a driver from Evo (they don't have capacity) or B - bring one with me
