Forge Action Day at Castle Combe
Discussion
If anything like previous Action days from earlier this year and indeed last year, expect the sessions to be full with the max amount (30 I think it is) of cars on track, ends up with most of the 5 laps being fairly slow as you end up with bunches of cars, if you can break away from a bunch you end up on the back of another
Had a good time at Forge, as I said was first time for 5 years. Driving standards when I was on track were fairly good but there were so many red flags due to crashes. In my first session a very nice BMW Z4 managed to front end the barriers on the first corner of the first lap.
I was driving possibly one of the oldest cars there a 1969 MGB GT V8 and I have to say it is pretty quick. Been modifying this car since 2001 mainly by trial and error and fabricating just about everything. Video clip here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LgbLIFo1RKI&t=...

I'd rather try lobotomising myself with a rusty teaspoon than take a car of mine on-track at Trax, Forge Action Day, or any of these assemblies or the great-unwashed. Seen too many people in fast cars who obviously have absolutely no clue on the nuances of driving fast, it's a matter of when not 'if' the crashes occur.
