Anyone else get this? I really like it, gives a refreshingly honest look at cars and not afraid to go against the grain and say an E30 M3 is crap, or a Golf is good.. I guess its easy to be honest about whether something's good or not when the simple criteria is: is it good to drive round a track.

I would generally agree with most of what you say but over the months the content has become smaller at the expense of the adverts. This months latest edition is a good exmple of this. Nevertheless, I will still be renewing my subscription because the articles that are produced are usually extremely interesting.

Lizard, we're in last month's mag (ickle picture of black Golf mk2 in the Cadwell feature)
New mag came yesterday - Interesting to read the Shaun Balfe broke the Cadwell outright lap record recently in an SR8 - Record had been set in '82 by F3 car.

i've looked at this mag a few times at the motorshow and various other places i've seen their stand but i've always had the impression that it is more aimed at kit car/sports car drivers rather that the more buget trackday stuff. am i way off? or is that about right
From what I've seen so far they do cater for the whole spectrum of circuit driving, but the best things to look at in any walk of life is the expnsive, exotic stuff, so that's what the main features seem to be about.
On the other hand, they do have a fair bit of stuff that applies to every track-day-bod, and some specifically aimed at the lower end of the market (though not as much).

Hehe.. sorry Ted, having a brief moment of frustration when I found you couldn't search all forums (or a whole 'section' e.g. 'Motorsport'), and I didn't know where I'd be likely to find discussion of the magazine and couldn't be bothered to search each forum separately...
I realise searching requires server time, though, so I understand if that's why it's like that.

It's smart enough, tho the language could be a bit more polished from time to time, since it is after all a respectable printed publication, not forum chit-chat.
The Golf GTi review this month is refreshingly honest, especially since they agree with my theory about other mags just rewriting Autocar reviews. (Autocar thought the RX8 was "slow" whatever that means, and so now everyone does...)
