Have a winter trackday coming up - weather looks dry but cold (3C max) at Donington.

Has anyone run Dirrezza DZ03Gs at these temps? Or should I switch to road tyres? Heavy old E92 M3...

Thanks!

I did a cold but dry day at donington a few years back. Temp never topped 2c all day. But my federal 595 rsr s were just fine, few laps to get some heat in them then they gripped up nicely.

Id stick with the semi slicks.

I've done track days in the rain and snow on a set of Michelin P2Ls, immense grip, as if it were dry, if you have a set of spare wheels and can run the profile, they are 100% worth it

Semi slicks, from my experience work well in the cold and dry. Problem is, most track days in the winter feature (at best) damp early morning track conditions. Then, they get stuck in the no heat, no grip, no heat scenario. I like tyres, such as the PS4S and Goodyear Eagle F1 Supersport. Unlike, semi slicks, they work in cold and wet and are good for short stints in the dry. Of course, you could bring a spare, wet set of wheels and tyres. Personally, I can’t be bothered to carry additional wheels and swap them over and back again, just for 40 minutes of dry running in the afternoon.
