Hi everyone

I posted this some weeks ago in the pinned ‘track days for beginners’ topic but seeing if I can get a response here instead, sorry for the double post.

Has anyone tried Hype Motorsports’ track experience days? It’s more expensive than Palmersport, which is my only other track experience. I was hoping they would offer more track time and less waiting around (although I did love the Palmersport day). I think their cars are track modified Cayman GTS, Alpine 110, BMW M2. Any feedback or other suggestions appreciated.

Thanks!

I have never been a client of theirs however I have seen them operate at many RMA trackdays. The cars look well prepared and well supported.

Similar for me, seen them on some of the Circuit Days events I work on and they seem to be well on top of the job.

A different product to Palmers (everything is), but decent cars and running on proper race tracks.

Just my 2p worth. I think you’d get better value renting a lesser car from one of the TDOs and getting more laps in. Hyper’s cars are high spec and worth it if you can really exploit the performance. Great to contrast 3 cars and hopefully the social side of the day is good, but if you’ve only done a Palmer day to date I suggest a full track day would be fun and a better learning experience.

Thanks! Hype was a bit cheaper than most track day car rentals I could find, especially considering track day fee, car and instruction. But I take your point about value / time with the car and not needing the high spec. How much driving would I likely do on a track day with a rented car - I guess it’s intense so as a beginner you wouldn’t go for too long, at least without breaks?
