Spa, taking tyres and tools

Morning, after a bit of advice please.

A bunch of us are off to Spa and are taking spare tyres and a comprehensive tool kit.

All cars are road registered and being driven by their owners so do we need a Carnet, has anyone ever had and problems getting through customs?

Just to be clear one of the cars will have most of the tools and tyres in it.

Nobody really knows, I’d say if it was just the cars then you’d be fine going by the rules (although they have stopped the odd person even though they shouldn’t be, because if they cars road legal, mot’d, insured and taxed it’s fine) but the tools “could cause a problem” I’m going too and have been over 7 times towing a car with tyres and tools and never had a problem

You'll be fine. I had a caterham and a half in my Merc in spares and drove the car over for DN and had no issues.
